LOCATION

Join City staff at our Outreach Pop-Up anytime from 4:00pm to 5:30pm to ask your questions and share your feedback on the West Broadway Reconstruction Concept Design. City staff will be tabling in the community room of Weston Manor. You can come learn more about the background of the project and check out the full concept design.

The City of Somerville is planning to reconstruct sidewalks and repave Broadway between Clarendon Avenue and Alewife Brook Parkway (Route 16). With this opportunity, we aim to redesign the street to improve safety for people walking, rolling, biking, and driving, and increase comfort and reliability for people taking the bus.

On April 13, the City shared a concept design for the street which includes:

  • Protected bike lanes
  • Floating bus stops
  • Raised crosswalks along Broadway and along some side streets
  • Curb extensions
  • Options for new crosswalk designs

For more information about the project, visit www.somervillema.gov/westbroadway.
