All invited to sell or shop at Somerville's citywide Yart Sale on Saturday, August 10. Yart Sale is an opportunity for creatives to showcase and sell artwork or arts related things. Do you have frames or canvases left from past exhibits, or that equipment you bought and never used? This is an opportunity to sell or gift these items from the comfort of your yard, driveway, or porch! For art lovers, it’s an opportunity to browse new artwork and wares from local makers (and maybe pick up that thing you never knew you needed!).

Yart Sale will take place on Saturday, August 10th (rain date August 11th), from noon to 6 p.m. Yards may vary in time within this time frame, before visiting check the website and map. Event goers will be able to access a map of locations and times on our website: www.somervilleartscouncil.org/yartsale

To register your yard, sign up using the Somerville Arts Council’s (SAC) online form. The deadline to sign up is Friday, August 9th, by 11:59 p.m.

Exhibitors are encouraged to be creative with their displays but remain respectful of their neighbors by not blocking any streets or sidewalks.

Examples of things that can be part of the Yart Sale:

  • Any art medium (paintings, photography, collage, ceramics, etc.)
  • Handmade objects (jewelry, pottery, quilts, knitted items, etc.)
  • Collectible items (coins, postcards, baseball cards, instruments, magnets, etc.)
