LOCATION

Somerville is planning to build its next new school building at 115 Sycamore Street

Community members who live in the neighborhood surrounding 115 Sycamore Street are invited to meet with project architects Perkins Eastman to share their perspectives and help shape the design of Somerville’s next new school building.

Members of the school building project team will lead a roughly hour-long walk around the site during which community members will be invited to share both their preferences and concerns about the new school. Potential topics of discussion include:

  • Outdoor space
  • Traffic + pick-up/drop-off
  • Historic uses of the space that we should seek to retain
  • Environment and sustainability priorities

The information and feedback gathered will be used by the City’s project team and architects to help inform preliminary design efforts and work moving forward.
