Join us for our October Asian Tea Party to learn more about your utility bills! Staff from the City’s Office of Sustainability & Environment will share information about how to read and check your utility bill, predatory third-party energy suppliers, and Somerville Community Choice Electricity.
Residents are encouraged to bring a copy of their utility bill if they would like staff to walk through it with them in person and help them better understand their charges and electricity supplier.
This session will be conducted in English, with interpretation available in Mandarin and Cantonese. For questions or to register for the event, please contact Yi Lam at 617-625-6600 x2626.
The Asian Tea Party is a monthly gathering that brings together senior constituents of Asian heritage to foster community connections through information sessions and workshops. These events provide an opportunity to learn about municipal services and community resources, while connecting with others. Presentations and workshops are typically conducted in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, with interpretation into other languages available upon request. Each month, we share information on a different and timely City topic and senior resources, while enjoying light refreshments, including tea. The Tea Parties are hosted by the City's Council on Aging and the Somerville Office of Immigrant Affairs. Everyone is welcome to attend! For more information and to receive updates on upcoming Tea Parties, please contact Yi Lam at 617-625-6600 x2626.
