The 2015 Municipal Elections Calendar is available below. The City of Somerville encourages all eligible residents to register to vote and participate in the elections process.
Please note: The 2015 Preliminary Election is on a Thursday this year: September 17th, 2015. Nomination papers will be available on Monday, May 11th at the Elections Office (in the lower level of City Hall, at 93 Highland Ave., Somerville, MA 02143).

Who can register to vote?
A person may register to vote in Massachusetts if they are:
- a US citizen, and
- a resident of Massachusetts, and
- 18 years old on or before election day
Are there deadlines for registration?
Yes. In order to vote you must be registered:
- 20 days before all primaries and elections, and/or
- 10 days before a special town meeting.
