LOCATION

This free creative writing workshop is for anyone who has a
hankering to write a story or novel but has no idea where to begin.
Participants will engage in a number of fun oral and written
storytelling exercises and will leave the workshop with the practical
and psychological tools to begin writing a short story or novel. A small
portion of the workshop will be devoted to acquainting participants
with the process of starting or joining a writing group, the key to
inspiration and discipline for many beginning writers, as well as how to
get an agent. Inexperienced writers from all linguistic and educational
backgrounds are encouraged to attend.

Eleanor Stafford, the workshop leader, has ample experience teaching
creative writing to beginning writers and diverse learners and is a
recipient of a Somerville Arts Council 2013 Literature Artist Grant. The
workshop is supported in part by the Somerville Arts Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

LIMITED TO 20 PEOPLE, ages 18 and up. To register, please email Eleanor at ejstafford@gmail.com.
