Dig Into...Gardening!

This workshop takes you into the world of a garden and outside the
library to do some hands-on gardening yourself!  Learn how to water
plants and keep them growing well, read from Henry Cole's Jack’s Garden, and design your own garden.  You’ll also have the chance to taste some herbs and veggies fresh from a local garden.

Groundwork Somerville
is offering a series of three FREE library workshops for kids at the
Somerville Public Library branches this summer.  Each workshop fits into
the nationwide 2013 Collaborative Summer Library Program theme: Dig into Reading!
Recommended
for kids ages 5-7, workshops are all free and led by Groundwork
Somerville Gardens Coordinator, Lee Dwyer. Thanks to the Friends of the
Somerville Public Library for generously funding this workshop series!

Please note: The West Branch Library is not wheelchair accessible.  Individuals
who need auxiliary aids for effective communication or any other
reasonable accommodation are invited to make their needs known to the
City’s ADA Coordinator, Betsy Allen.  She can be reached at 617-625-6600
x2323 or
ballen@somervillema.gov.  The City of Somerville's disability policy can be found on the City's Commision for Persons with Disabilities page.
