LOCATION

People of all ages are invited to the Walnut Street Community Garden for a discussion

of Seedfolks

led by Jim Boyd, Head Coordinator for Somerville Community Gardens, and

Cathy Piantigini, Somerville Library Supervisor of Children’s Services.

One by one, a number of people of varying ages and backgrounds transform

a trash-filled inner-city lot into a productive and beautiful garden,

and in doing so, the gardeners are themselves transformed. Thirteen

very different voices--old, young, Haitian, Hispanic, tough, haunted,

and hopeful tell one amazing story about a garden that transforms a

neighborhood.

Copies of Seedfolks in English and Spanish are available for check out at all Somerville Library locations.
