 Youth Body Image

Over 45% of
Somerville middle and high school students say they are trying to lose weight, while only about 24% of students describe themselves as being slightly overweight.

27.9% of
Somerville middle school students have already tried a diet.

Should we be concerned?

 

 

A Café style discussion for parents, grandparents, children, teachers, counselors, mentors and community members to discuss how Somerville youth perceive their bodies and how we can promote a healthy lifestyle and body image.

 

 

 

“Café Conversations are an easy-to-use method for creating a living network of collaborative dialogue around questions that matter in service of the real work….
