What we ACCEPT at our Recycling Events
We take EPS Foam. Food and beverage foam items DO NOT have to display the recycling symbol 6 in the triangle with PS underneath it.
- Packing blocks (does not need to display a recycling symbol on it)
- Produce and meat trays (please rinse)
- Take out containers (please rinse)
- Hot cups such as Dunkin' Donuts, Honey Do and Cumberland Farms
- Foam egg cartons
- Food trays
- White insulation sheets
Other Foam Items that We Accept
- #4 Polyethylene foam
- #5 Polypropylene foam
- Packing peanuts and bubblewrap will be accepted at most events or you may drop off packing peanuts (bagged separately from your foam) at 25 Mohawk Dr. Please call 508-864-8723 before dropping off your items.
We Do NOT take the following
- Plastic utensils
- Soft foam such as pillow stuffing
- Foam cups infused with cardboard or paper such as McDonalds' McCafe and Burger King (ice tea cup)
- Hard plastic with the #6 recycling symbol
- plastic lids from a coffee cup
- Cardboard Egg Cartons
- Soft foam sometimes referred to as eggcrate
- Polyurethane (PUR) Foam in plastic bag that has been molded around an item
- Food containers with plastic film attached.
- Some ground turkey comes in these container.
- Blue or Pink insulation sheets
