Patriots jersey at one of his city's official public meetings "if the Patriots
could somehow win this game," said Somerville, NJ Administrator Kevin Sluka. In return, Mayor Curtatone is expected to wear
a New York Giants jersey if New York prevails in Sunday's NFL championship

that this year's award recipients for "Best Service Provider to Women" by the
Somerville Commission for Women will be CASPAR and the "Somerville Woman of
Excellence" award will be presented to Regina Bertholdo of the Parent
Information Center in the Somerville Public Schools. Awards will be presented at the upcoming
reception honoring Women's History Month, held at the Lowell Street Visiting

Committee (SJAC), the eleven-member panel will begin meeting later this

practices for matching local job candidates to local training and hiring opportunities

SPD vs. SFD Annual "Guns n' Hoses" Hockey Game Set for 3/30
The
annual "Guns N' Hoses" hockey game, between the Somerville Police Department
and the Somerville Fire Department, will be held this year on Friday. March 30th
at 7:00 p.m. at the Veteran's Memorial Rink on Somerville Avenue. In its 10th year, the theme is "The
Youth of Somerville," and, fittingly, proceeds from the game will benefit the
Somerville Youth Hockey Association.

New Configuration Creates More Spaces, Greater Safety for Motorists, Pedestrians and Bicyclists; Pilot Program to Go Into Effect on Bow Street in May
SOMERVILLE -
Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone and Acting Transportation and Parking Director Matthew Dias announced today that the City will be seeking to install back-in, angled parking along Bow Street in Union Square. The Bow Street installation, which would begin in May, will add 22
new spaces and increase the street's metered parking by 90 percent. At the same time, the change will greatly improve safety and
visibility for drivers as well as for pedestrians and bicyclists.
