This fall, Somerville voters will have the opportunity to cast ballots for Mayor, Ward City Councilor, City Councilors-at-Large, and School Committee members. A preliminary election for Mayor and Ward 3 School Committee, similar to a primary election, is scheduled for Tuesday, September 10.
For immediate release: The Somerville Foundation for Animals (501(c)3) announces the 10th Annual Somerville Dog Festival. The festival will be held at Trum Field on Broadway. Admission is free and donations are accepted for activities to support the fund. All well-mannered dogs on leash and current on their vaccinations are invited!

The Somerville Public Library and St. Mark Community Education Program will host a free, 12-part Citizenship Interview Preparation Class on Saturdays this fall in partnership with Project Citizenship. The class is designed to prepare participants for all parts of their citizenship test, from literacy to U.S.
Due to a meeting notice error, the Special Planning Board Meeting previously scheduled for Thursday, September 5, will be rescheduled.
