The Somerville Commission for Persons with Disabilities invites all community members to its annual event in celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month. The event will feature live performances and a panel discussion on “Inclusionary Workplace Practices” led by Susan Fendell from the Mental Health Legal Advisors Committee, Joe Bellil from Easter Seals, and Jini Fairley.
 
This year, the Commission will also present an award to a community member who has demonstrated a deep commitment to serving individuals with disabilities. The Commission has chosen to recognize Desiree Forte, Youth Services Coordinator from Easter Seals Massachusetts.
