CANCELED: Condominium Review Board Meeting

Due to an unexpected resignation received on October 18th, 2018, the Condominium Review Board (CRB) has temporarily lost the ability to convene with a minimum of three members present. Two other board memberships were concluded in July and August when members relocated from Somerville. Those vacancies are in the process of being filled.

This means that scheduling of further meetings is suspended until at least one vacancy is filled. It also means that the CRB meeting that was scheduled for Monday, October 29th is canceled.  Housing Division staff is working to restore the CRB’s ability to reach quorum as soon as possible. As of this time, we tentatively expect for one vacant seat to be filled in time for a November meeting. Notice of the Board’s ability to meet will be posted, and all pending applicants will be informed.

In the meantime, prospective applicants can continue to submit applications for condominium conversion. Please note however, water bills still must be obtained no more than 30 days prior to the date of the hearing.  Depending on when an application is submitted, an updated water bill and proof of payment may need to be provided.  Applications will be added to the agenda for the next available meeting in the order they are submitted, with applicants for September and October remaining at the top of the agenda.
