About: The City of Somerville will be distributing finished compost free of charge to Somerville residents on May 5th, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., at Glen Park Community Garden, 150 Glen Street (playground entrance on Glen Street). The rain date is May 12th at same time and location. The finished compost was processed by Garbage to Garden, the City’s contractor for the curbside food waste collection pilot program in East Somerville. To receive finished compost, residents must bring their own containers to the event. Information about signing up for the City of Somerville’s free curbside food waste collection pilot program in East Somerville will also be available at this event.
