LOCATION

The City of Somerville is improving access between the neighborhoods of Inner Belt and Brickbottom at the East Somerville MBTA station. Currently, there is only one long path of travel between Inner Belt and Brickbottom, requiring pedestrians to navigate New Washington and Washington Street. The City of Somerville wants to create a safer crossing to unlock access to new development, community resources, vibrant arts communities, and more. We are studying two possible routes that are designed to be safe and accessible to those who walk or roll. You can join us at a public information meeting on 5/07/2026 from 6:00-8:00PM at the Ralph & Jenny Center to learn more about the Inner Belt Brickbottom Crossing project.

Visit the project website at somervillema.gov/innerbeltbrickbottom
