Detant Kreyòl is a space where participants can relax, enjoy themselves, and celebrate Haitian culture through music, games, art, and food - bringing together flavors, sounds, and traditions that feel like home.
These gatherings also provide an opportunity to share helpful information and city resources with older adults in a warm and culturally affirming environment.
The first edition of Detant Kreyòl - closing out Haitian Heritage Month with joy and celebration, will take place on Friday May 29, 2026, from 11am to 1pm at 20 Stephenson Aman Street, Somerville MA 02144.
