If you are turning 65 or transitioning out of an employer group health plan due to retirement, Minuteman Senior Services’ New to Medicare workshop is your guide to understanding your coverage options and finding a plan that works for you. 

Topics include Medicare part A and B benefits and coverage gaps, when to apply for Medicare, how to apply for Medicare, health insurance plans that work with Medicare, understanding premiums, deductibles, maximum out of pocket costs, and choosing the right supplement plan. 

This workshop will be led by Marion Severynse, a Cambridge resident and state trained Medicare benefits counselor. Marion volunteers for Minuteman Senior Services’ SHINE program, providing coverage information and answering Medicare related questions. 

To RSVP, call Molly at (617)-625-6600 ext. 2318. SHINE is a free service funded, in part, by the Executive Office of Aging & Independence.
