Kennedy School Chiller Replacement Project

About the Project

The existing air conditioning system at the Kennedy School has reached the end of its service life. Through this project, the city is undertaking a complete replacement of aging cooling system equipment and installing a new building control system. This work will increase the reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of the school’s cooling system.

Anticipated Work Schedule:  

Work will begin in early April or soon after and run through the fall with anticipated project completion in December.

Construction Impacts:  

Temporary parking restrictions and short-term road closures will be required periodically.  

Sign up for Somerville City Alerts at somervillema.gov/alerts to receive additional notification. Work hours on weekdays will be restricted to 7AM–7PM. Work will take place on select Saturdays, work hours for Saturday are between 9AM–7PM.
