The Healey-Driscoll administration has awarded the City of Somerville $500,000 to help implement its redesign of western Pearl Street in Gilman Square as part of MassDOT’s complete streets funding program.  

Mayor Jake Wilson today announced the full slate of Executive Office appointments, an experienced team to deliver on his results-first agenda: improving core City services, increasing efficiency, strengthening communications and transparency, delivering accessibility and accountability, advancing equity, and building regional partnerships that benefit Somerville residents.While many have been on board since inauguration, two new hires recently completed the team.

The Somerville Fair Housing Commission is actively seeking one new member. The open seat is reserved for a tenant who is eligible on the basis of income for assisted housing in the city. We invite all tenant residents to consider applying. 

Have you strolled through Ken Kelly Park, ridden the elevator at West Branch Library, or heard about the Clarendon Hill redevelopment project? These are just a few examples of projects come to life with the help of Somerville’s Community Preservation Act (CPA) program, which provides $7 million in funding each year to support open space, recreation, historic preservation, and affordable housing projects.
