Women Veterans Invited to Wellness Day and Appreciation Event on March 5
To the women who serve and have served our country with courage and strength, we honor you. As a sincere thank you from the Somerville community and in celebration of Women’s History Month, the City’s Department of Veterans’ Services invites women veterans to a Wellness and Appreciation Day on Thursday, March 5. Attendees are invited to select from an array of free spa services including manicures, facials, haircuts, and wash and styles.

First off, I owe you an apology. The way news of the Somerville Arts Council reorganization became public was not how I intended for it to happen. You deserved to hear this from me first, with full explanation, and you didn't. I'm sorry for the alarm that caused, and I want to set the record straight: we are not pulling back from the arts. We are doubling down.
