Join us for a writing workshop for kids ages 9-12! Children will learn
how to get ideas for stories, and will do several journal exercises for
writing. They will be able to read aloud from their own mini stories on
the theme of "Adventures with Books." They will leave with their own
notebooks and tips on how to use them to be a writer every day.

Help us welcome Library favorite Charlotte Dore and Rosalita's Puppets for a performance of Goldilocks & the 3 Dragons.
In this show Mummy, Daddy and Baby dragon live happily in the forest
till naughty Goldilocks arrives to cause a commotion. This free program

Children are natural yogis; they have a blast exploring their new
moves while building strong body and breath awareness, cooperative
skills, and self-confidence. This class will also include a craft
session.

Janine Duffy is certified to teach children’s yoga through Radiant Child
Yoga. She teaches children’s yoga at Bow Street Yoga in Union Square.

2012 is the bicentenary of the birth of Charles Dickens, and the year
will be marked by international celebrations of his life and work.
