The City's annual vigil walk, in honor of the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017, at 6 p.m. The vigil will begin with a procession stepping off from the Cedar Street intersection of the Community Path, and will conclude with a short ceremony in Davis Square. The entire Somerville community is invited to participate.

During the months of September and October in the United States, people recognize the contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans.

Fall 2017 Historic Somerville Local History Lecture Series presents "The Old Powder House: 300 Years of History," a talk by Larry Willwerth, Officer of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Co. of Massachusetts.

Come inside Somerville’s oldest cemetery, dating back to 1804, and usually closed to the public. Explore this rare and endangered gem, where British soldiers and Revolutionary citizens are buried.
