Save the Date! On Saturday, Sept. 19, the City of Somerville will host an event celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). All community members are invited to the celebration, to be held in the Somerville High School Atrium from noon to 2 p.m. on Sept. 19. Refreshments will be served. Additional information to follow.
A pity party is usually a party you have by yourself to wallow in sadness-wear pajamas, binge on ice cream, and listen to sad songs. Now imagine that as a free, community, block party. It's sad for the whole family.
Take a walk through history this Thursday with docent-led tours of Milk Row Cemetery (next to Market Basket on Somerville Ave.). The 211-year-old cemetery is usually kept locked because of the headstones' fragile condition. So if you've ever been curious about Milk Row, now is a good time to go exploring.

Due to forecasted heavy rain and potential thunderstorms throughout this afternoon, as well as Rosh Hashanah conflicts for many, we have reluctantly decided to cancel the historic Bike Ride for today. However, we are determined to reschedule for this fall, possibly Sat. Oct.3rd or Sun. Oct. 25th, depending on multiple folks' schedules.
