Join us for a writing workshop for kids ages 9-12! Children will
learn how to get ideas for stories, and will do several journal
exercises for writing. They will be able to read aloud from their own
mini stories and will leave with their own notebooks and tips on how to
use them to be a writer every day.

Help us welcome back musician and children's entertainer extraordinaire Jeff Jam
for one of his fantastic sing-alongs! Come early to get a good seat,
with room to wiggle and move your feet! Fun and free, thanks to the
Friends of the Library! This program is recommended for preschoolers
and their caregivers.

Help the City re-live Paul Revere's historic ride from Boston through Somerville and onto Lexington and Concord. Adults and high school students are needed to volunteer at the City's annual Patriots Day Colonial Fair at Foss Park on Monday, April 16.
Listen to the old folktale Stone Soup, enjoy delicious soup, and collaborate on a stone-soup-inspired work of art. All ages are welcome to attend!
Do you have a good food-themed story—maybe a personal experience
of trying an exotic dish in a foreign land, a reminiscence of learning
to make a family favorite with a grandparent, or a familiar folktale
you’ve always loved? Come tell the tale, and hear others tell their
stories too! Tom Champion will be the emcee for this event.
We'll be discussing what the Library's new teen space should be like and
we want to get your input. We'll also be discussing the creation of a
teen blog. We encourage anyone with an interest to join us!
Refreshments will be served.

The K-6 students and the art teachers of the Somerville Public Schools
have produced a beautiful array of food-themed art that is now on
exhibit in the auditorium of the Central Library. It will be here
through the end of April, so please stop in and have a look at their
wonderful work. There will be a reception on Tuesday, April 10th at 3:00 p.m.,
