General Exercise at Ralph & Jenny (Council on Aging)

Join the signature SCOA class in the East Somerville area. We’ll use a play ball, resistance band, and handheld weights to do seated exercises with optional standing strength and balance activities. Enjoy music while doing easy-to-follow functional movements that help support an independent and active lifestyle.

Virtual Exercise, Strength & Balance (Council on Aging)

Join this live online class that focuses on strength training and balance. This is a chair-based workout with the option of doing supported standing activity and using handheld weights. Practice exercises that will keep your body and mind healthy, strong, and active.

The Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Agriculture unveiled a new inverted food pyramid that prioritizes protein and full-fat dairy, while putting whole grains at the bottom. This month we will be looking at the new guidelines so that we can make the best possible choices for our health and wellness for the upcoming new year.

Join us for this staff-led discussion group which covers a range of topics thought up by participants. This is a friendly group, where all topics are discussed respectfully. Grab-n-Go lunch is available upon request.

The Center for the Arts at the Armory is proud to offer a weekly winter market with 71+ local food vendors with the best locally grown and regionally produced foods, including fresh produce, cheese, eggs, meats, fish, breads, tamales, pastries, chocolate, skincare products, and more.
