Join the Somerville Conservation Commission and the Mystic River Watershed Association to pick up trash at Draw Seven Park as part of the annual state-wide COASTSWEEP cleanup. This event will take place on Saturday, October 5 from 10am-12pm (rain date October 6). We will be meeting near the picnic area at the end of the parking lot.

The Somerville Public Library and St. Mark Community Education Program will host a free, 12-part Citizenship Interview Preparation Class on Saturdays this fall in partnership with Project Citizenship. The class is designed to prepare participants for all parts of their citizenship test, from literacy to U.S.

Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone and the City’s Mobility Division announce that a community meeting has been scheduled to discuss two fatal crashes along State Route 38 (Mystic Avenue) in Somerville and efforts underway to improve safety for all road users.
