Dedication of POW-MIA chair at Somerville City Hall

At noon on Friday, November 8,  the City of Somerville will join the New England Patriots, Lowell Spinners baseball team and 14 other Massachusetts municipalities in establishing a POW-MIA chair at City Hall.

Wallbreaking Ceremony to Mark Demolition of Somerville Waste Transfer Station

On Monday, the demolition of Somerville's hulking, long-out-of-place waste transfer station will begin, and a gaggle of wrecking celebrities will join Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone and Ward 2 Alderman Maryann Heuston for a "Wallbreaking" Ceremony to celebrate.

10th Annual Pumpkin Stroll

Join us for this fun, annual even-  A Costume Parade from Davis Square Statue Park (across from the T station) along the Minuteman Trail bike path to Lexington Ave Park for fun and games. Costumes are encouraged but are not required. Non-Scary Event appropriate for all ages!

The trail is HP accessible. There are no bathroom facilities.

LGBT Halloween Ice Skating Party

Please join us for the City of Somerville's Second Annual LGBT Skate Night on Saturday, October 26th from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Veteran's Memorial Skating Rink, 570 Somerville Ave. All ages are welcome, and costume prizes will be awarded. Tickets are $10 and include skate rental.
