POW/MIA Recognition Ceremony

In the United States, National POW/MIA Recognition Day is observed on the third Friday in September. It honors those who were prisoners of war and those who are still missing in action.

Prospect Hill Tower Public Opening

This structure was built in 1903 to honor the troops who camped atop the hill during both the Revolutionary War and Civil War. It was designated as a Local Historic District in 1985 and was just recently re-stabilized through a 2015 Somerville CPA grant.
