The Buildings Division ensures that all City and School buildings are maintained, clean, and welcoming to all that enter. The division:
- Performs interior/exterior repairs and renovations including physical support.
- Maintains maintains and repairs City elevators, mechanical, HVAC and control systems, electrical, plumbing, alarm, and security systems
- Provides custodial and maintenance services, and more

The Buildings Division manages a wide range of services throughout the City, including:
- Provide availability 24 hours a day to respond to City Agencies for the maintenance, security, and safety of all City buildings.
- Respond to emergency, priority, and routine services and repairs on City-owned buildings to maintain a safe, clean environment, as well as respond to a variety of work requests within City buildings.
- Beautify the City by installing and maintaining various flagpoles and banners.
- Provide custodial services to DPW buildings in order to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Plow, salt, sand, and shovel all schools, municipal buildings, and municipal lots during snowstorms.
The Buildings Division also supervises outside Contractors for HVAC, fire safety, fire alarm, asbestos, security systems, pest control, elevator repairs, oil deliveries, and chemical treatments for all municipal buildings in order to provide a safe and healthy environment.
