LOCATION
This year, voters will decide a number of races, including those for the offices of Governor, Senator in Congress and General Court, Representative in Congress and General Court, Attorney General, District Attorney, and more. Sample ballots for the State Election, early voting schedules, and absentee ballot applications are available below.

Absentee Ballots
An absentee voter is a registered voter who will be unable to vote at the polls on election day due to: (1) absence from their city or town during normal polling hours; or (2) physical disability preventing them from going to the polling place; or (3) religious belief; OR A non-registered voter who is: (1) a Massachusetts citizen absent from the state; or (2) an active member of the armed forces or merchant marines, their spouse or dependent; or (3) a person confined in a correctional facility or a jail, except if by reason of felony conviction. Absentee ballot applications must be received by your local election office by 12 p.m. on the day before the election, unless the day before the election is a holiday or a Sunday, in which case the application must be submitted by 5 p.m. on the last business day before the election.
Applications may be submitted in person, by mail, fax, or by e-mail; however, the local election official must be able to view the signature of the person requesting the ballot. If the application is being submitted by e-mail, a scanned copy of the request must be submitted.
Individuals with disabilities who need auxiliary aids and services for effective communication, written materials in alternative formats, or reasonable modifications in policies and procedures, in order to access the programs and activities of the City of Somerville or to attend meetings, should contact the City’s ADA Coordinator, Nency Salamoun, at 617-625-6600 x2323 or NSalamoun@somervillema.gov.
