Nutrition Via Zoom(Council on Aging)

Before sitting down at the table consider tips for healthier holiday eating! Avoiding skipping meals or consuming too much alcohol are just a couple of tips we will address this holiday season. Together, we will come up with strategies to work around all of the high fat and sugar that comes with holiday celebrations without skipping out on all the fun and tasty treats!

General Exercise at Holland Street (Council on Aging)

Add some movement to your day! General Exercise is a chair-based fitness class with supported standing strength training and balance. We use a play ball, handheld weights and resistance band to work on functional and therapeutic movement patterns. Enjoy moving to music while doing easy-to-follow cardio, mobility, strengthening and stretching exercises.

Union Square Jingle

Head to Union Square from 1 to 6 p.m., shop, sip, follow the Festivus Trail, enjoy window displays and holiday lights, pose with crazy inflatables, vie for prizes, take Elfie Selfies, and more.

Somerville Flea Holiday Market

Find that unique gift for that unique person. We’ll have two jam-packed floors of gift buying goodness featuring curated vintage wares and artisan creations.

Davis Square Holidate

Shop, dine, and chill out all day and eve amid holiday lights and enjoy holiday specials, sales, giveaways, a raffle, and more throughout the Square as Davis Square merchants host the first ever Davis Square Holidate. 

Somerville Winter Farmers Market

The Center for the Arts at the Armory is proud to offer a weekly winter market with 71+ local food vendors with the best locally grown and regionally produced foods, including fresh produce, cheese, eggs, meats, fish, breads, tamales, pastries, chocolate, skincare products, and more.

These meetings are open to the public and all are welcome.

This is an online version of the General Exercise class that welcomes the LGBTQIA+ community and alliances. Enjoy seated exercises with the option to use dumbbells and work on standing strength and balance. This easy-to-follow workout focuses on functional fitness to help maintain an independent and active lifestyle.
