A reception, with light refreshments, will be followed by the 23rd Annual ceremony to honor 11 Somerville owners for their award-winning preservation work on the exterior of their properties. Properties include both historically designated homes as well as older buildings in the City. SHS students will present their original drawings of each property to the owners.

Update (5/19/2018): Current weather forecasts for Sunday include a significant chance of thunder and lightning in the area through the late afternoon. After reviewing all available forecasts and speaking with parade participants, the decision has been made to cancel the parade out of concern for public safety.
The Somerville Arts Council and the Somerville Media Center announce the third annual Cinema Somerville Outdoor Film Festsival, set for Saturday, May 19, from 8 to 9:30 p.m. This outdoor film fest in Union Square Plaza will feature short films about Somerville’s diverse voices.
