Inclusionary Housing Program Virtual Office Hours

The Inclusionary Housing team is hosting weekly, recurring virtual office hours for the public to join and get questions answered, assistance with applications etc.

Pursuant to Chapter 107 of the Acts of 2022, this meeting of the Somerville Affordable Housing Trust will be conducted via remote participation.

We’ll kick off on with the Holiday Lighting on the City Hall Concourse, followed by a meet-and-greet with Santa Claus in the Somerville High School Cafeteria.

Limited Drop-Off Service for Residential Household Hazardous

The City of Somerville will offer limited household hazardous waste (HHW) drop-off service to residents. Residents may dispose of eligible items each Thursday in November and December, excluding Thanksgiving.

Anticipated Illuminations Tour Map Launch

We’re happy to announce that the Illuminations Tour and citywide caroling is back. As in recent years, the Somerville Arts Council will provide an online map featuring the best and brightest holiday displays.

Charter Review Committee Public Hearing

The Somerville City Council Special Committee on Charter Review will hold a virtual (online) public hearing on the City of Somerville Charter Review process on Wednesday, December 7, starting at 6 p.m. There are two ways residents can submit testimony and be heard:

The City of Somerville’s Prevention Services division, the Cambridge Health Alliance – City of Everett, the Town of Arlington’s Youth Health & Safety Coalition, and the Town of Lexington’s Human Services department secured the MassCALL3 grant for regional youth substance misuse prevention work, awarded by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s (MA-DPH) Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS) division.
