Our plans for the new playground for the 2-5 year old age group to be constructed at the Allen Street Community Garden next summer are almost complete and we would like to share them with you on Tuesday evening, December 18th. The City of Somerville Parks and Open Space Department in conjunction with Alderman Scott and Alderman Hirsch will be hosting a community meeting Monday December 17th from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at the Argenziano School cafeteria to provide residents with an opportunity to discuss the Lincoln Park design and to review the schedule for the remaining work to be completed next spring.

Public meeting of the Human Rights Commission.

The Board of Health is seeking public testimony on proposals (1) remove the menthol exemption in the flavor restriction moving all menthol products to adult-only tobacco retailers, (2) consider "tobacco" a flavor for e-cigs and (3) ban the sale of electronic cigarettes at all retailers except for qualifying retail tobacco stores/vape shops.

A public hearing for all interested parties will be held by the Planning Board on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Room of the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA), 259 Lowell Street, Somerville, MA.
