Leather Art of the Silk Road Geometric Art & Coasters (Council on Aging)

With Artists: QI & Hudson

Participants will explore the colors and patterns of the Silk Road through hands-on leather collage. They will learn to use vibrant leather pieces to design unique geometric artworks that can serve as coasters or decorative pieces. It’s a wonderful way to experience how simple materials can inspire infinite creativity. 

Eastern Flow in the Park (Council on Aging)

Enjoy exercising in nature in this NEW OUTDOOR Eastern Flow class! Connect mind, body, and spirit while getting into a state of Flow. Finding flow moves us toward finding an effortless clarity and euphoria that can transform lives. Traditional Eastern movements from martial arts and nature are explored, but in a modern way. Music is used to enhance enjoyment and aid in movement flow.

LGBTQIA+ Virtual General Exercise (Council on Aging)

This is an online version of the General Exercise class that welcomes the LGBTQIA+ community and allies. Enjoy seated exercises with the option to use dumbbells and work on standing strength and balance. This easy-to-follow workout focuses on functional fitness to maintain an independent lifestyle.

Meditation with Yolanta (Council on Aging)

Yolanta Kovalko will lead a Yoga Nidra Guided Meditation. This 45-minute session will help students to improve posture and breathing while taking their mind on a journey toward deep relaxation. Singing bowls will be used to create a sound bath experience. The goal is to provide a safe, relaxed, and inclusive environment where everyone feels good and supported.

Virtual Small Business Office Hours

Virtually join the Small Business Office Hours,  held Thursdays from 4:00-5:00PM. Join in to talk to city staff from Economic Development, Licensing, and ISD to discuss any questions regarding permits, licenses, or your business. Attendees will be held in a waiting room and admitted to speak with staff in order of which they joined the call.

Enjoy SCOA’s signature General Exercise class in the comfort of your home! Simply click a zoom link to join the live class online. This is a chair-based workout with the option to use light handheld weights and do supported standing strength and balance activities. Enjoy easy-to-follow cardio, strength training, mobility, and flexibility patterns.
