Board of Library Trustees Meeting

This is a public meeting of the Board of Library Trustees. The meeting will be held virtually in compliance with Governor Baker’s emergency orders regarding the Open Meeting Law.

Virtual Town Hall for Seniors

Join us for a series of virtual town hall meetings with Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone where you can learn about local COVID-19 impacts and the City's response. Five meetings are planned - one geared toward a general audience and four tailored to specific communities.

CANCELLED: Free Citizenship Class at SPL (Part 10 of 12)

The Somerville Public Library and St. Mark Community Education Program announced this week that they will partner for spring 2020 to offer a free, twelve-part Citizenship Interview Preparation Class for residents seeking to apply for American citizenship. Classes will be offered on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., from March 7 through May 23, at the Central Library (79 Highland Ave.).

Enjoy a trolley tour of Boston's Historic Waterfront, U.S.S. Constitution, The Seaport District, Faneuil Hall Markplace and many more.

Following the tour we will stop for lunch at Ristorante Fiore in the North End.

$40 includes tour and lunch.

Limited seating.

Departs the Ralph & Jenny Center at 10:00 a.m. and returns at approximately 2:00 p.m.

Chris Freedman: Home Alone Art Series

The Somerville Arts Council (SAC) is launching the Home Alone Art Series (HAAS), a series of art-related performances live-streamed through Facebook. The performances will represent a variety of genres, including: Music, Visual Arts, Performance, Writing, Theater, Dance and Multidisciplinary art forms.
